Wicked Awesome Apt in Antwerp

We arrived in Antwerp yesterday to the first apartment (of many) of the trip. I attempted to book at the Boulevard Leopold B&B, which was highly recommended by Condé Nast Traveler, but they were booked. Instead, they recommended their latest endeavor, Sleep in the City apartments. It was nearly the same price and it was an apartment. I was sold. To boot, it’s about five doors down from the Kulminator, a beer cafe that seems to be on every travel guide’s list.

The apartment is located in a chic 1905 centre shop house (not exactly sure what that means) in the middle of the fashion district. Yes, Antwerp has a fashion district and it’s really cool, who knew?  The decor is white and gold, and it provides this amazing combination of modern yet comfortable. Even the lightbulbs are cool.
