Officially Homeless

Well, it’s official. On Monday afternoon we closed on our house. The papers are signed, the money is transferred and we are now vagabonds. It was a bit touch-and-go there last week, the buyers attempted to play some hard ball, asking for money. But we stood firm and prepared for them to walk away. But fortunately, they caved – it really would’ve sucked to put it back on the market. So now we can celebrate not having a mortgage or really any bills for the time being. We planned to pop open the champagne my friend Adriane gave us, but it just didn’t feel appropriate drinking it in the nasty Rodeway Inn in Beaumont, TX. Ha!  So instead, we will wait until the atmosphere is a bit better and then we will pop the bottle and thank our lucky stars that we sold our house.

Goodbye 414 W. Esparada. Thanks for the memories.

  1. We loved visiting you in Texas – and seeing Georgetown, Austin, San Antonio SALT LICK!!! Lake Travis – did I mention SALT LICK?! The good news is that you don’t look like a homeless person …yet. Eating well. Can’t wait for you to arrive and we meet our granddog.
